Lyft’s Women+ Connect is a feature offering more comfort and peace of mind for women and non-binary riders and drivers by offering them the opportunity to prioritize matching with each other. It’s available in all US cities.

How It Works:

Women and non-binary passengers are automatically opted in; however, both drivers and riders can turn the option on or off at any time. When Women+ Connect is turned on, it will prioritize matching women and nonbinary drivers with nearby women and nonbinary riders.

Although you set your own hours, you’re also free to go for bonuses offered by Lyft – which can be easily viewed on the Lyft app.

Notably, Lyft offers new drivers (of any gender) a $400 bonus for completing 40 rides in their first seven days. Terms apply. Other ways to earn with Lyft include:

• Bonus Zones: Pick up a passenger and complete a lift in a “bonus zone”
• Bonus Hours: Earn a set amount extra for each ride within a one-hour window
• Turbo: Gain a percentage increase on earnings while driving during high-demand times

Getting Paid With Lyft

By driving on Lyft, you’ll be paid based on the fares you’ve earned, minus the commission you pay to Lyft. You can choose to receive your earnings in various ways:

• Weekly deposits to your bank account (1-3 business days)
• Express pay to send earnings to your debit card (within 24 hours)
• Lyft Direct instant payouts after each ride with no transfer fee
